As the world responds to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and the global public health emergency, the Urban Affairs Coalition Community is working hard to support our employees, Program Partners, and community members through this time of uncertainty.
As a Home for Nonprofits, the Urban Affairs Coalition has worked to improve the quality of life in our region for the past 50 years. Our work is important now more than ever.
UAC is deemed as an essential business in the City of Philadelphia, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and in the communities we serve. We will continue to operate during this time, as we deliver and support essential services to our most vulnerable communities affected by the novel coronavirus COVID-19.
Our UAC and Program Leadership teams continue to meet on a regular basis to move our mission forward, and we’re participating in daily calls with our Coalition partners to assess and meet emerging community needs and challenges.
Through partnership with the City of Philadelphia and Healthcare Agencies – and guidance by State and Federal Offices – UAC is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely, and we are preparing to make changes as needed over the next several weeks.
Further, the safety and health of UAC’s employees and people we serve are our top priorities. We have taken immediate steps to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, while providing employees with the additional support and resources they may need for their family and loved ones.
In turn, we hope and encourage you and your family to do all that you can to stay healthy. Below is a list of our recommended sources for accurate and timely information on COVID-19 – updates for both PA and NJ:
