OVERVIEW

The Urban Affairs Coalition assists foundations and government agencies that want to fund communities but need a cost-effective alternative to managing programs in-house. We empower community initiatives to ensure programs are run efficiently and funds are spent effectively.

Among these initiatives, one of our highest priorities is developing community wealth. UAC develops collaborative approaches to increasing economic opportunity and financial stability in the Tri-State area. We foster opportunities for economic success by uniting businesses, government, and communities, and by providing financial education.

Equally high on our priority list is our devotion to Education, Youth Development. The Urban Affairs Coalition and its network of program partners provide youth with access to safe havens, education, and jobs.

COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

OVERVIEW

The Urban Affairs Coalition’s Economic Development Projects (EDP) acts as an independent consultant to influence wealth building policy by promoting business development and employment for minorities, women and community residents.

EDP consultants partner with project developers and owners – such as hospitals, universities, and museums – to develop Economic Opportunity Plans (EOP). Through the EOP process, EDP helps its clients award contracts to Minority, Women and Disabled Businesses (M/W/DsBE); and assists in successfully employing women, minorities, and residents of communities where projects are built.
