This holiday season, the Urban Affairs Coalition continued its long-standing tradition of supporting families across Philadelphia through our Thanksgiving Basket Program, distributing 2,000 complete holiday meal baskets to families across Philadelphia. Each basket included fresh ingredients for a full Thanksgiving dinner, helping families celebrate the holiday with dignity, comfort, and stability.

One Day at a Time (ODAAT)
A cornerstone of this program is the network of more than 100 community partners who participate each year. These partners work closely with families throughout Philadelphia—identifying households most in need, coordinating neighborhood distributions, and ensuring support reaches communities with care and intention. Their commitment is central to the program’s longevity and impact.
We were also strengthened by the dedication of more than 100 volunteers who joined us across both Packing Day and distribution. Volunteers from Brown’s Super Stores, UAC Board leadership, UAC team members, Salem Baptist Church, Solid Rock Baptist Church, Theta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Delta Delta Theta Chapter, Harris Home, and the 17th Police District worked side by side to assemble baskets. Their service embodied the spirit of collaboration and community that defines this initiative.
We were further honored to have Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton join us during distribution, reflecting the shared commitment to supporting Philadelphia families during the holiday season.
