Founded in 1983 by Reverend Henry T. Wells, One Day at a Time, Inc. (ODAAT) began as a residential peer counseling and substance abuse recovery support program. ODAAT utilizes a holistic community-based recovery model and support system. ODAAT is a program partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition and is dedicated to serving low-income families in the Philadelphia area who are afflicted by addiction, economic disparities and HIV/AIDS. ODAAT’s approach focuses on providing peer support and promoting healthy, positive lifestyles through a holistic array of supportive services in the area of health, economic, housing and social needs.
ODAAT’s community impact initiatives seek to expand ODAAT’s transitional housing facilities, comprehensive case management services, youth programming, support services and prevention programs for individuals currently recovering from drug addiction, at risk of becoming addicted and those seeking recovery services.
