Last Friday, the Coalition and 800 of our closest friends gathered in person for UAC’s 53rd Anniversary Breakfast and Networking Event.
This annual event convenes decision-makers from across the City, connecting business, government, and nonprofits in support of our enduring commitment to improving the quality of life for all Philadelphians by addressing the biggest problems facing urban communities, especially among our most vulnerable populations. The theme, Empowering Doers and Dreamers, honors those who are advancing UAC’s vision of driving real change through their shared commitment to Philadelphia’s neighborhoods. This year we were thrilled to honor the following recipients:
- Doer Award: Ryan N. Boyer, Business Manager, Philadelphia Building and Construction Trades Council
- Living Legacy Award: Susan Jacobson, president, Jacobson Strategic Communications
- Community Leadership Award: Kelly Woodland, Managing Director – Leadership Equity, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
- Founders’ Award: UGI Corporation/Roger Perreault, President.
This year, we were thrilled to welcome to the Philadelphia Convention Center over 100 sponsors who share our goals, values and community-focused mindset. A huge thank you to our Visionary sponsor Merck & Co., Inc. and our Innovator sponsors Lima Consulting Group, Independence Blue Cross and JPMorgan Chase. Together, we are Doers and Dreamers, united by the belief that our continued impact is magnified through our collective efforts, more than any one individual or organization can do alone.
