Program Summary

One Day AT A Time (ODAAT) is a Program Partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC). ODAAT houses men and women who are afflicted by addiction and homelessness. Case management services and prevention for HIV/AIDS is also offered at select locations. Through our holistic array of services, ODAAT consumers can expect the support of staff to bring systems together to achieve positive outcomes. Staff offers support in the following areas: recovery coaching and mentoring, linkage to health and social services, transitional housing, and community outreach.

Position Summary

One-Day-At-A-Time (ODAAT), a program partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC), is currently looking for an individual to fill the full-time position of Youth & Family Program Coordinator.

 

The ODAAT Youth & Family Services Department works with at-risk youth and young adults to enable them to grow as individuals and become productive members of their community in- and out-of-school. This position is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a comprehensive youth engagement initiative which includes early intervention, prevention, and program development activities that are monitored through assessments and evaluations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Regularly follow up with families and program participants to assess progress, address concerns, and provide ongoing support.
  • Conduct personalized one-on-one assessments with program participants to identify individual needs and tailor support accordingly.
  • Organize and lead focus groups to gather valuable insights from program participants, fostering a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, volunteer involvement, and participant progress through meticulous data entry.
  • Manage email correspondence related to program logistics, updates, and participant communications.
  • Generate comprehensive reports detailing program outcomes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement, submitting them in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in weekly staff meetings to discuss program developments, address challenges, and contribute to the overall success of the Youth & Family Services Department.
  • Attend relevant training sessions to enhance skills, stay informed about best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.
  • Other agency related duties as required or assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • State and federal clearances required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth mentorship programs.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will work in an office and public, service-delivery, and school environment. Hectic situations can occur in the public area of the facilities characteristic to working with the youth/young adults and the related concerns and situations related to at-risk youth. Potential exists for volatile and unpredictable situations to occur. The requirements listed in this document are the minimum levels of knowledge, skills, or abilities.
