Program Summary
ODAAT is dedicated to serving low-income and homeless individuals in the Philadelphia area who are afflicted by addiction and HIV/AIDS. Our focus is on providing peer support and promoting healthy, positive lifestyles. ODAAT utilizes a community-based recovery model and support system, allowing people to recover in the same environment in which they became addicted.
Position Summary
The Youth & Family Assessor can expect to deliver supports and programs consistent with recovery planning and resiliency building. Youth/young adult life plans established with youth/young adult will target to enhance their capacity to function in all aspects of community living. Responsibilities include developing and implementing life skills programs based on youth/young adult life plans, providing case management to individuals on caseload, providing appropriate personal and physical care, crisis response, counseling and emotional support, where appropriate services may be extended to children in school or home with their families.
The ODAAT Youth & Family Services Department works with at-risk youth and young adults to enable them to grow as individuals and become productive members of their community in- and out-of-school. This position is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a comprehensive youth engagement initiative which includes early intervention, prevention, and program development activities that are monitored through assessments and evaluations.
