Position Summary

The Community Housing Services Navigator is responsible for linking individuals and families with housing and manages financial assistance funds processes to include rent.  The Housing Navigator will work collaboratively with local agencies, community organizations, and service providers to facilitate access to necessary programs for those experiencing unsheltered homelessness.  Ensure clients are connected to vital supportive services to include rental assistance and housing stabilization resources to help individuals maintain long-term housing and reduce homelessness risk. The incumbent will work closely with prospective property owners and managers to promote housing opportunities for households that are experiencing homelessness and those that are at-risk of homelessness. In addition, this role will work closely with the Community Engagement Team; in developing culturally responsive health strategies to address access to behavioral health support, substance use treatment, HIV prevention, and outpatient medical care. The incumbent will support the planning and implementation of events and initiatives that promote client recruitment, retention, engagement and access to care.   These efforts will include referral and follow-up for HIV testing, STD screening, PrEP services, medical and behavioral care, and other wraparound services. The role will also encompass a range of administrative duties to ensure accurate service.

 

This position is anticipated to start July 2025.
