Philadelphia Anti-Drug/Anti-Violence Network (PAAN)

Promotes community safety through services that reduce drug abuse and violence as well as to help at-risk youth develop positive alternatives that will return them to the mainstream of society. Since its inception in 1989, PAAN has utilized its expertise to meet these objectives through street-based community outreach and intervention programs. PAAN is the premier street-based and community violence prevention agency in the City. It uses a diverse staff consisting of non-civil service, grassroots and professional workers (70% African-American, 10% Asian, 10% Caucasian, and 10% Latino) to connect with citizens within their own neighborhoods.
