Temple U. Joins Home*Buy*Now Program

March 2, 2012

Temple University joins the host of participating employers that recognize the power of collaboration by nonprofits, businesses and government sectors in the Philadelphia Home*Buy*Now program.

Philadelphia Home*Buy*Now is a city-funded, employer-assisted housing program. It is designed to enable employers to better recruit and retain employees by helping employees become homeowners; give employers a tool to improve communities surrounding their facilities; and increase the demand for housing in the City of Philadelphia. UAC is manager of the Philadelphia Home*Buy*program.

"Philadelphia Home*Buy*Now is a very significant resource that, in combination with Temple's Employee Home Ownership Program, helps to contribute to the stability of areas surrounding the university while at the same time making homeownership accessible for Temple employees," said Beverly Coleman, Assistant Vice President for Community Relations and Economic Development. Temple University will also offer their employees home buying and financial education workshops which will be conducted by the Community and Economic Development Department's Speakers Bureau.
