Rev. Mark Kelly Tyler Discusses Thanksgiving Basket Program on NBC10

November 20, 2013

Earlier this week, Rev. Mark Kelly Tyler, Senior Pastor, Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church and member of UAC’s Thanksgiving Basket Program Cabinet was on NBC10 to discuss how people can get involved and donate. This year UAC will be celebrating 30 years of helping the city’s most challenged and vulnerable communities. Each year the Coalition distributes Thanksgiving Baskets to 1,000 needy families, providing Thanksgiving dinners to feed over 6,000 individuals! UAC partners with Brown's Shoprite and their vendors who provide all of the Thanksgiving fixings. However, UAC must raise $20,000 to purchase the turkeys for the baskets.

Click here to make a donation to help UAC continue in its fight against hunger! A donation of $25 will feed a family of 6, $50 will feed 13 and $100 will feed over 20 individuals! For more information about the program, please contact Felicia Harris at 215-851-1915
