Digital Transformation @UAC

For 48 years, the Urban Affairs Coalition has championed the benefits of community connectivity, the Power of Coalition.  Over the last year, we have grown to serve over 70 partners and projects, with $36M under management, through convening, connecting, advocacy, and fiscal sponsorship.

We are strengthening our commitment to better serve our communities through a comprehensive initiative called “Digital Transformation @UAC.”  

 Everyone is experiencing the power of our connected world in different ways. We understand that digital connectivity can positively impact our business, our partnerships, and our sector. Digital Transformation will save our Program Partners time and money, and it will innovate the 80+ services we provide as a fiscal sponsor. In two years, we will celebrate 50 years by embracing our past and investing in our future.

The Digital Transformation initiative will assess the current state of our business, provide specific metrics for measuring our value drivers and cost drivers, and determine a roadmap to better enable our stakeholders, improve our processes and provide state of the art digital experiences.  

“The initiative will save Program Partners time and money, and will allow UAC to better serve all of our stakeholders.” said Kate Rivera, UAC Director of Business Operations. "We are automating routine processes so we can spend more time providing advisory services for our clients and communities."


Some benefits we expect from the Digital Transformation initiative are:

  • Enable UAC to better serve our Program Partners through new business models and services, which ultimately empowers them to better serve our communities 
  • Democratize our data so stakeholders can access reports, dashboards, and alerts in real-time
  • Embrace the power of cloud computing and mobile devices
  • Position UAC as an innovative Fiscal Sponsor prepared to expand beyond our Greater Philadelphia region
  • Place UAC on a trajectory of continuous innovation
  • Lower our cost and increase our value for our Funders and Program Partners

UAC is excited to partner with Lima Consulting Group (LCG), a multi-national, digital transformation boutique founded here in Philadelphia.  LCG has conducted similar projects at global financial services firms such as Citibank and BBVA Compass.  LCG is a veteran-owned and minority-owned firm with offices throughout the Americas, founded by former Chairman of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Paul Lima
