Program Summary: 
The Achieving Reunification Center (ARC), a non-profit entity, has served parent/caregivers with children placed in an out of home placement through Department of Human Services since 2005. The vision of the Achieving Reunification Center is that all families with children in out-of-home placement have resources and referrals provided to them to achieve timely reunification to ensure the child’s safety and the family’s stability.
Position Summary: 
The Outreach Support Specialist (OSS) is a member of the ARC Outreach Unit and is responsible for reengaging parent/caregivers referred to ARC for support services that did not complete the enrollment process or fully participate in ARC services as outlined in the goal plan.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
• Travel to last known address for assigned parent/caregiver and meet with parent/caregiver; • Encourage reengagement by working to understand barriers to service participation and offering resources to address issues to achieve goal of parent/caregiver returning to ARC; • Schedule parent/caregiver meetings with ARC Intake Unit or Ongoing Services Unit; • Conduct reminder telephone calls and/or texts; • Complete all related administrative tasks to process parent/caregiver forms; and • Perform all other duties as assigned
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
• High School Diploma or GED; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software; • Excellent organizational and communication skills; • Able to work with minimal supervision; • Ability to work outdoors
