Program Summary: 
The Maintenance Supervisor is an administrative position with operational responsibilities that works across multiple program sites to implement the transformation goals of SELF, Inc. through high level performance of critical safety, maintenance and environmental oversight and supervision. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing and supervising major/minor maintenance repair work in multiple facilities. This position is also responsible for procurement of supplies and contracting services as well as documentation and reporting.The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that proper procedures, protocols, benchmarks and reporting metrics are established, implemented and evaluated according to SELF’s general upkeep of property/assets including buildings, vehicles, tools, supplies inventory and external contracting related to maintenance and environmental needs. Position Summary: 
 Perform and supervise the performance of minor maintenance repair work in facilities that range from large multi-floor institutional buildings to three (3) story residential row houses. Minor repairs required may include, but not be limited to, plumbing, heating, carpentry, electrical, and general construction. Establish and supervise the implementation of a schedule of routine maintenance of major systems, including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems. Establish and maintain a system of routine and emergency maintenance work orders that provides for placement of orders by program managers/administrative superiors, assessment of the work/repairs required, assignment of the work required to appropriate staff and documentation that the work is completed. The system must provide for recording on paper and/or computer all calls for service, assigned staff and work performed and materials used and comply with reasonable standards for completion of all routine work within 48 hours and emergency work within 24 hours. Establish an “on-call” schedule that includes the Maintenance Supervisor and subordinates to ensure coverage and timely responses to after hours and weekend emergencies.Maintenance Supervisor 2 of 2| P a g e Establish and implement a system of regular health and safety and local and state code compliance inspections of buildings and equipment. Perform/supervise the performance of repairs/upgrades as necessary to ensure compliance or where necessary follow agency procedures to secure outside repair services. Where repairs/work cannot be performed by agency staff, assist in and coordinate the identification of qualified outside contractors with superiors, define the scope of work to be performed, evaluate proposed prices for the work to be performed, and supervise and oversee the work performed. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for evaluating the work performed and recommending payment to the outside contractor to superiors. Supervise the maintenance and janitorial team. Supervision must include, but is not limited to, assigning and overseeing work of subordinates, providing instruction, evaluating performance in compliance with agency policies and procedures, establishing and ensuring compliance with industry, agency and other safety procedures and monitoring attendance. Maintain adequate supplies of maintenance repair items and supplies, including spare parts. Responsibilities include identification and regular updating of supplies and parts lists, maintenance of an inventory system that tracks maintenance supply needs, timely submission of requisitions, and accounting for use of items. Maintain all organizational vehicles in good repair by establishing and documenting a schedule for routine maintenance and inspections. Participate in general staff meetings, department meetings and training as directed. Perform other related duties as required.

 Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies at all levels, react quickly and appropriately in an emergency, and a commitment to customer service orientation. Must possess proficiency with and have a working knowledge of hand/power tools; carpentry, plumbing, electrical circuitry, equipment repairs and painting common to any size facility and type. Must possess ability to make minor repairs, adjustment to building fixtures and equipment, and exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies at all levels, react quickly and appropriately in an emergency, and a commitment to customer service orientation.Must possess proficiency with and have a working knowledge of hand/power tools; carpentry, plumbing, electrical circuitry, equipment repairs and painting common to any size facility and type.Must possess ability to make minor repairs, adjustment to building fixtures and equipment, and exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
