Position Summary: 
The Urban Affairs Coalition is looking for a qualified Fiscal Clerk to join our Fiscal Department team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Fiscal Department with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and general administrative duties. 
Reports To: 
General Ledger Accountant
Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Assist Purchasing Coordinator in fulfilling purchase orders and matching orders to receipts
  • Assist A/P Manager by matching invoices to checks, obtaining all signatures for checks and filing signed checks for distribution.
  • Fiscal Data Entry using defined computer programs (Microix/MIP).
  • Prepare and enter Accounts Payable Vouchers and Purchase Orders for the various departments as well as selected program partners.
  • Filing, scanning, copying and compiling documents for Fiscal Accountants and Management.
  • Assist with Audits by gathering back-up support.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management and accountants as requested.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as needed.
  • Communicate (in both verbal and written form) with various vendors concerning balances, payments and/or purchase orders.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust and confidence
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or two years’ experience
  • Non-profit experience
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus
