 Position Summary: The Director of Programs is dynamic administrative position that works across multiple program sites to implement the transformation goals of SELF, Inc. through high level performing educational, skills building, career focused, informational and supportive programs. Using research and best practices the Director of Programs will develop, coordinate, administer, implement and evaluate organizational programming. Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
Develop, coordinate, administer, implement and evaluate organizational programming across multiple sites. Ensure organizational program functions meet standards established by SELF, Inc., key funders, research, and best practices. Provide general oversight of program partners and management of all organizational programming across multiple sites including formalizing and enhancing mobilization & partnership networks. Coordinate all functions of organizational programing and execution including steering/collaborating with team members (including management), volunteers, funders and program participants. Coordinate program activities with national, regional, state and local organizations. Actively recruit external program partners that offer relevant educational and supportive services to program participants and develop Memorandum’s of Understanding (MOU’s) and Letters of Agreement (LOA’s) for mobilization & partnership networks. Responsible for responding to grants and contract RFP’s/RFI’s that the organization may wish to apply. Responsible for providing support to SELF, Inc. team members through the development and implementation of in-service trainings, dissemination of professional literature, ideas, and materials. Responsible for developing and managing the evaluation and assessment process including data collection, analyzing and reporting to determine programmatic accomplishments, strengths and weaknesses, and development of programmatic modifications that may be necessary for successful completion of desired outcomes. Maintain appropriate documentation of services and prepare reports as directed by the administration, funder requirements, agency rules and procedures.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
Master’s degree in education, human services, health or social science from an accredited university or college is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, health or social science from an accredited university or college or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum of two to five years of experience in community building, program development, organizational management and/or program evaluation preferably with vulnerable communities. Familiarity and comfortability with diverse communities as well as educational, social services and civic organizations is highly desired. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to successfully manage multiple detailed oriented projects at one time. Experience with fiscal accountability systems, compliance with rules and regulations of governmental grants and contracts. Experience in developing new programs, negotiating, and securing contracts and/or grants. Development/fund raising experience a plus Knowledge/experience with performance dashboards a plus Must be well organized, detail-oriented, tasks-driven and able to work independently and set daily priorities. Must have valid driver’s licensing and clean motor vehicle record. Professional efficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Criminal background clearance will be required.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Working knowledge and broad understanding of the non-profit sector, homelessness, drug and alcohol issues, behavioral health and other social determinants of health. Ability to communicate complex information clearly in writing and in oral presentations to a range of audiences. Demonstrated skill and comfort with proactively building relationships with diverse audiences, including public officials, community leaders, mobilization & partnership networks and the public and speaking with the media.
