Program Summary: 
UAC is a non-profit organization that unites government, businesses, neighborhoods, and individual initiative to improve the quality of life in the region, build wealth in urban communities, and solve emerging issues. Economic Development Projects (EDP), a UAC service, provides consultant services to influence inclusion and economic opportunity for local businesses and residents, resulting in increased wealth within target communities. This work includes: policy and business development, project assessment and opportunity valuation, assurance monitoring, data mining, and customized data analysis and reporting.
Position Summary: 
The Data Specialist will provide data management for EDP clients as an element of EDP’s project management services. This individual will report to the Division Director and must be accustomed to working in a confidential environment, be self-motivated, and prepared for detailed work inputting data and organizing hard paper files into electronic media. The Data Specialist must be comfortable spending extended time at a desk and must be able to lift boxes that may weigh up to 20lbs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
• Review, verify and prepare information for transcription into database; • Review certified payroll reports for compliance and irregularities; • Establish relationships with Construction Management Team, in order to manage the accuracy of information; • Prepare and review reports before submission to Compliance staff • Manage storage of data; • Coordinate data assignments with Division Director establishing priorities that promote operations of EDP; • Accurately enter statistical data collected into the for analysis; • Generate monthly statistical reports and meet monthly deadlines; • Prepare statistical reports; • Assist Compliance staff as needed; • Some travel may be required based on client activity; • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
• High School Graduate or GED equivalent; • Must be able to accurately type 70 wpm. • Must have one year or more data entry experience with the ability to accurately input verified data and be detailed-oriented; • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel and Word; • Must have good written and oral communication skills; • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. • Must be able to sit at a desk and input data for extended periods of time
