The Youth Outreach Adolescent Community Awareness Program (YOACAP), is a program partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC). Our agency’s mission is to enhance the quality of life and health for Philadelphians through community-based and culturally competent interventions. Since 1989, we have addressed health concerns, workforce development, and life skills in low-income, underserved communities. Today, our mission has expanded to help youth and young adults learn job readiness skills, academic achievement, and experience using technology.

Position Summary

YOACAP, a program partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition is seeking to fill the part-time Data Entry Staff (DES) position. The DES will report to the Unit Leader and Program Director. They will work 25 hours per week between YOACAP’s main office located at 1211 Chestnut Street, 2nd floor (center city) and the training site located at 106 West Clearfield close to Front & Allegheny Avenues. The DES will be responsible for entering data from various sources into the Common Wealth Workforce Development System (CWDS), Cityspan and Efforts to Outcome (ETO). The DES will prepare, compile and document files for data entry. They will also check data sources for accuracy and when necessary update and/or remove obsolete files. The DES will review client files to ensure they are accurate and ready for funder review.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enter data daily from source documents;
  • Maintain client file confidentiality;
  • Comply with integrity and security policies;
  • Respond to requests for information and access files to retrieve data;
  • Meet data entry deadlines;
  • Attend required trainings;
  • Attend staff meetings to update the data management progress;
  • Be able to type 50 words a minute as evidenced by a keyboarding test;
  • Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods;
  • Perform related tasks like ordering office supplies and filing documents;
  • Manage and organize records and files;
  • Prepare relevant reports as needed and
  • Provide general data entry support

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Two years of college preferred
  • 2 years of data entry experience or related office experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong computer skills
  • Comfortable with office equipment including a computer, telephone, scanner, calculator, and photocopier
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to think analytically
