Program Summary: 
The Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC) is a non-profit organization that unites government, businesses, neighborhoods, and individual initiative to improve the quality of life in the region, build wealth in urban communities, and solve emerging issues. Economic Development Projects (EDP), a UAC service, provides consultant services to influence inclusion and economic opportunity for local businesses and residents, resulting in increased wealth within target communities. This work includes: policy and business development, project assessment and opportunity valuation, assurance monitoring, data mining, and customized data analysis and reporting.
Position Summary: 
The incumbent will have progressive responsibility for construction/renovation and/or special projects which are guided by Economic Opportunity Plans (EOP). The incumbent will provide project management; worksite monitoring; reporting; and technical assistance to ensure compliance with the EOP.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
• Provides project management for projects of less than 12 months duration and/or a construction cost of less than $25M; • Attends construction project meetings and other project-related activities; • Assist project manager with management of construction monitoring activities as directed and in coordination with project management team; • Prepares and presents monthly statistical reports with relevant narrative for each assigned project; • Analyzes monthly compliance reports and make recommendations for corrective action, when necessary; • Assists contractors in adhering to the Economic Opportunity Plan by providing technical assistance; • Monitors worksite to affirm information provided by data, forms and other submissions; • Provides training to onboarding staff that may have compliance functions.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
• Undergraduate degree and 3 years work experience; or 7-plus years work experience in the inclusion compliance industry ; • Be able to attend non-local training opportunities for a minimum of a week’s duration; • Be physically able to work on active commercial sites; • Have use of an automobile that is available daily to facilitate the above duties; • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Prior construction industry experience is desired but related educational and/or work experience history may be considered.
