Program Summary: 
The Inner Strength Foundation is a 501c3 and program partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition. Its mission is to provide mindfulness and cultural development programs to high school students within the public school system of Philadelphia. It currently reaches 1900 students per academic year. ISF activities include: teen mindfulness programming, adult teacher training classes, whitepapers and publications in the field of social-emotional learning and trauma-informed tools for youth.

Salary & Benefits: 
$12 - $14/hr dependent on experience
15-20 hours per week
Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
The monthly tasks will include, but not be limited to: • Processing contracts • Processing invoices • Collating monthly financials • Preparing materials for Grant Applications • Preparing communications packages, ordering graphics and print work • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and materials for Board Review • Scheduling meetings for the Executive Director • Internet research • Formatting and sending monthly e-newsletters and other publicity or communications materials

Training • You will receive training in the invoicing and fundraising online interfaces. Opportunities to learn: • How to work with donors and plan fundraising campaigns • How to coordinate for a busy multi-tasking Executive Director • How to communicate with partner and donor organizations • How to set up and provide customer support for webinars Upcoming projects that will require assistant support include: preparing and collating end of school year feedback and evaluation forms, scheduling meetings with school administration to plan fall classes, processing instructor invoices, preparing materials for grant applications, on-site support for teacher training This position is ideal for a meticulous administrative assistant who cares about consistency and accuracy. The right candidate is a good communicator who is also comfortable with technology. Location • Administrative assistant will work part-time onsite in Center City, Philadelphia and part-time off-site.
