On Friday, August 23, 2013 the International Young Leaders Assembly (IYLA) will host “A Discussion on the Global Significance of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution” at the National Constitution Center.  In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, the IYLA will visit several historic and significant monuments and participate in global forums in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC during August 20-29.

The IYLA is a practicum on leadership that address today’s global challenges. During the trip, the IYLA will host university student leaders and young professionals from around the world for interactive programs in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. The program is designed to promote leadership skills and strategies for sustainable peace and development.

Panelists include Wilson Goode, Former Mayor of Philadelphia; Judge Nelson Diaz, Partner, Dilworth Paxson LLP; Rebecca Mays, Dialogue Institute; and Kevin McCarthy, Global Peace Foundation USA.
