Winter/Spring 2011 Foreclosure Prevention Resource Guide is Released

The Urban Affairs Coalition and the UAC Foreclosure Prevention Task Force are pleased to present the Foreclosure Prevention Resource Guide, Winter/Spring 2011 Edition. The Guide is designed to help professional housing counselors and homeowners, in the Philadelphia five-county region, better navigate the mortgage foreclosure process and the foreclosure prevention programs available to homeowners.

The guide comes out bi-annually and there are a few updates since the last edition:

Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations Standards of Excellence

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, The Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations will hold a roll-out event for this new version of Standards for Excellence.

The Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations recently released an updated version of the Standards for Excellence Program. This program is the premier ethics and accountability program for the nonprofit sector. Standards for Excellence offers a variety of resources to strengthen nonprofit governance and operations in an effect to improve accountability to the public and donors. The Pennsylvania Association for Nonprofit Organizations will hold a roll-out event for this new version of Standards for Excellence on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.

The People’s Emergency Center (PEC) will host their Energy (and Money) Saver Workshop on Thursday, March 26th from 7pm-8pm at the PEC’s West Philadelphia office and will teach people how to save money by saving energy in their homes. Instructors will demonstrate how to install self-help energy saving materials and will provide these materials free of charge to each household that attends.

Join Entrepreneur Works Monday, April 20th for their 13th Annual Taste of Success Event. This year's theme is What's Your Secret Sauce?

On Monday, April 20, 2015 from 6pm-8pm, Entrepreneur Works will host their 13th Annual Taste of Success event at the International House Philadelphia. Taste of Success, an annual cook-off/bake-off, networking event and cocktail party, is the perfect opportunity to connect with other entrepreneurs. This year's theme, What's Your Secret Sauce, looks at the ingredients an entrepreneur needs to be successful. Attendees will be able to sample the contestant's creations and choose winners for the People's Choice and Most Innovative awards.

As you know, each first Sunday of the month, vistors enjoy free admission, familyy entertainment and informative seminars from 10am-6pm at the Barnes. A variety of music themed programming will take place throughout the Barnes on the 1st.
